What personal data do we process, and where do we get it from?


We collect and process the personal data you provide to us as part of the treatment.

In this context, you provide information such as your name and contact details, as well as other relevant information, including medical records that contain your CPR number and sensitive information (e.g., health information).


In certain cases, it may be relevant to obtain information about you from third parties, and during the course of the case, we may receive personal data about you from other parties. This could include referrals and correspondence from a doctor or hospital, as well as any diabetic foot status performed by another podiatrist. To the extent that the information is relevant, we retain it for use in the case.


What do we use your information for, and on what basis?


We use the above information about you to safeguard your interests in connection with the treatment and provide you with the necessary services/healthcare. We also process your CPR number to communicate with public authorities. Additionally, we process your general contact information, including your mobile phone number and email address, to identify you and maintain contact with you.


We comply with the applicable data protection laws, and you can learn more about our basis for processing your information in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Article 6(1) and Article 9(2).


Disclosure of your personal data


We do not disclose your personal data to other parties unless it is necessary for handling the case or fulfilling legal requirements.


In connection with the handling of the case, it may be necessary to disclose personal data about you to relevant healthcare professionals and/or public authorities.


Additionally, we may share your personal data with relevant partners who, under agreement with us, process personal data on our behalf and according to our instructions. All data is stored within the EU/EEA, and data processing agreements have been made in accordance with the relevant rules.


How long are your personal data stored?


We store your personal data in accordance with the rules for storing patient records. This means that we keep the information as long as the treatment is ongoing, and for up to 5 years after the conclusion of the treatment.


The right to withdraw consent


To the extent that our processing is wholly or partially based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting us at the contact details provided above. If you choose to withdraw your consent, it only takes effect from that point forward.


Your rights and the right to complain


Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have several rights concerning our processing of your information. If you wish to exercise your rights, you must contact us.


Right to access information (right of access)


You have the right to access the information we process about you, as well as additional information.


Right to rectification (correction)


You have the right to have inaccurate information about yourself corrected. This right concerns objectively incorrect information. If it involves subjective assessments or disputed facts, we note your objection and inform the relevant party during our processing of the case.


Right to erasure


In certain cases, you have the right to have your information erased before our standard general erasure occurs.


Right to restrict processing


In certain cases, you have the right to have the processing of your personal data restricted.


Right to object


In certain cases, you have the right to object to our or lawful processing of your personal data.


Right to data portability


In certain cases, you have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and to have this personal data transferred from one data controller to another without hindrance.
